- Computer Science / AI / Machine Learning / Data Science – 12 seats
Work on data analysis, algorithms, simulations, and smart systems used in underwater operations. - Electronics / ECE / EEE / Instrumentation – 10 seats
Get experience in building and testing electronic circuits, sensors, and communication tools used in marine defence. - Mechanical Engineering – 5 seats

Eligibility Criteria for DRDO NPOL Paid Internship 2025
To apply for the Naval Physical & Oceanographic Laboratory Internship, you must:
- Be a final-year UG or PG student in Science or Engineering.
- Study in a college/university approved by AICTE or UGC.
- Have at least 60% marks or 6.0 CGPA in all previous years/semesters.
- Be less than 28 years old on 17th July 2025.
- The internship must be a compulsory part of your academic course. You will need proof from your college.
DRDO NPOL Paid Internship Stipend and Completion Rules
- You will get a total of ₹30,000 for six months.
- Payment will be in two parts – after 3 months and at the end.
- You must complete the full 6 months and submit the final report to get the remaining stipend and certificate.
- Any extra time beyond 6 months (if granted) will be unpaid.
